APASA has begun their Asian Pacific American Heritage Festival (APAHF)! They had a successful promotional EXTRAVAGANZA! event at Tommy Trojan & a successful kick-off concert featuring many APA (Asian Pacific American) YouTube stars, featuring Kevin Lien, Kinh Nguyen, Dawen, Jennifer Chung, afterschoolspecial, and Leejay & Passion! We are all looking forward to a successful rest of heritage festival!

Amy, Catherina, and Wing are serving on Program Board for the 1st year. Amy is also involved with Delta Phi Kappa, APASS PEER mentoring program, and a legal internship. Catherina is an Undergraduate Student Researcher for the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Department and Dance Suite Coordinator for the 20th Annual Pilipino American Culture Night (hosted by USC Troy Philippines). Lastly, Wing is balancing serving on the executive boards for Marshall Business Student Government and Marshall Outreach and Volunteer Entrepreneurs as well, but she enjoys her free time with the Chinese American Student Association.

What do you love about Program Board?

Amy: Besides the APAwesome peebs….I love knowing that I am contributing back to campus through programming awesome events and connecting the Asian Pacific American (APA) community on campus to Program Board and USG.

Cat: The people are APAWESOME! PB has given me the opportunity to meet and work with the most ambitious, motivated, and fun individuals on campus.

Wing: The people are amazing, the office is amazing, the experiences are amazing, just amazing all around! I LOVE THE PEOPLE! Seriously like my second family, they got my back and give me the best advice ever. The people here are like my brothers & sisters! Just one big PB fambam.

QuASA hosted an event bringing renowned speaker Mattilda Sycamore’s visit to USC. Although controversy arose around the event, QuASA sparked discussion and was able to survive the controversy to gain understanding from those in the community. This is both Angela & Michael’s first year in Program Board. In addition to Program Board, Angela is involved with Youth Exploring Passion, a mentoring organization for pregnant and parenting teens in South LA. Michael is also a Resident Advisor in Southside Residence Hall.

What do you love about Program Board?

Angela: I love my fellow directors/event planning junkies.

Michael: Ample support and care.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Executive Director (ED) advocates for and represents the programming branch of the Undergraduate Student Government. The ED serves as a liaison to other University offices and works to build relationships that will aid the programming directors. The Executive Director is responsible for the overall vision, management, and administration of Program Board. This is a paid position.

FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION DIRECTOR
The Finance & Administration Director maintains the daily operations of the Program Board office.  The FD manages the office staff and works to improve office operations to make them more cost effective and useful to the programming directors.  The Finance Director is responsible for the financial stability and overall well-being of Program Board.  This is a paid position
